Frequently asked questions

Product Basics

HOW IS ONE'S WEIGHT/RESISTANCE DIFFERENT THAN OTHER WEIGHTED TRAINERS?

Most weighted clubs have fixed weight that stays the same throughout the swing. ONE is different—its resistance increases with swing speed, engaging the stretch-shortening cycle and activating more muscles for greater force production.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WHEN I BUY a ONE Club?
  • The ONE Club
  • Weights: 4 black (65g), 1 orange (135g)
  • Elastics: 4 medium (Level 2), 1 light (Level 1)
  • Full access to our training videos and Quick Start Guide The standard unit is ideal for power training up to 120mph.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ELASTICS?
  • Light (Level 1): 5 lbs resistance
  • Medium (Level 2): 10 lbs
  • Strong (Level 3): 15 lbs
ARE ALL ELASTICS BLACK?

Yes. The colors in the Quick Start Guide are for illustration only.

WHY IS ONE WEIGHT ORANGE AND THE OTHERS BLACK?

The orange weight is heavier (135g). Black weights are lighter (65g). Use different combinations to adjust resistance.

WHERE CAN I FIND the ONE club ABROAD?
CAN I PAY FOR THE ONE CLUB IN CANADIAN DOLLARS?

Our site only processes payments in USD. However, you can find the One Club on Amazon.ca if you’d prefer to pay in CAD.

Getting Started & Training Setup

HOW DO I START TRAINING WITH THE ONE CLUB?
  1. Follow our Quick Start Guide (PDF and videos in the Training section).
  2. Get comfortable with how the carriage moves and impacts the end stop.
  3. Focus on your release technique and master the base warm-ups before moving into speed training. When you’re ready for speed work, push yourself to your limit with the right resistance setup (see Quick Start Guide).
IS A SPEED RADAR REQUIRED WHEN TRAINING WITH ONE Club?

No. ONE Club uses elastic resistance to indicate progress. Our configuration chart estimates swing speed based on setup—results vary by mechanics and release point (we recommend around the back knee).

For exact numbers, measure your driver swing speed, but ONE Club is ideal for tracking improvement over time.

WHERE SHOULD I BE HEARING / FEELING ONE ‘SNAP’ AT?

We prefer the release point between your back foot and the ball—ideally near your back knee. This is where you’ll hear and feel ONE Club “snap.” See the Quick Start Guide for release drills.

WHAT DOES ADDING ELASTICS DO?

Adding elastics increases resistance, which means you’ll need more force and speed to bring the carriage down to the end stop.

WHAT LEVEL OF GOLFER IS THE ONE CLUB GOOD FOR?

One Club is designed to be used with instruction or as part of a structured training system. We recommend working with a teaching professional to evaluate your swing and understand your release before training on your own.

Training Performance & Techniques

HOW DOES ONE Club TRAIN SPEED WITH DIFFERENT WEIGHTS?
  • Lighter weights = faster swings, less force.
  • Heavier weights = slower swings, more muscle activation. ONE Club’s dynamic resistance gives you both—light at the start, heavy through impact—allowing speed and power training in one swing.
IS ONE club ONLY USED FOR SPEED TRAINING?

No. ONE Club is also great for warming up, timing your release, improving backswing mechanics, and building strength through plyometric movement.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM SPEED I CAN USE THE ONE CLUB AT?

With the standard setup (4 medium elastics, full weight), ONE Club can handle up to ~120mph swing speeds. Higher speeds (150–160mph) can be trained with stronger elastics and adjusted weights. See our Elastic Configuration Chart for details.

CAN YOU DO OVERSPEED TRAINING WITH THE ONE CLUB?

Yes. Reduce the weight to swing faster than you can with your driver. ONE Club’s dynamic resistance lets you train for high-speed movement while still building contraction force.

CAN I HIT A GOLF BALL OR SMASH BAG WITH THE ONE CLUB?

No. ONE Club is not designed to make contact with anything.

SCIENCE BEHIND ONE CLUB

HOW IS SWINGING THE ONE CLUB A PLYOMETRIC WORKOUT?

As the weight shifts during your swing, your body activates the stretch-shortening cycle—engaging more muscles and increasing force output. This turns your swing into a dynamic, plyometric movement.

WHAT IS THE STRETCH-SHORTENING CYCLE?

The SSC is a reflex that stores energy as a muscle stretches, then releases it during contraction. It boosts power, speed, and efficiency—ideal for golf-specific movement.
